About a week ago, I read somewhere about Anne Williams’ continued fight by having a petition to have a new inquest for her son who died at Hillsborough. Now usually this wouldn’t take a struggle, and Liverpool fans around the world would unite to sign this. So I assumed the 100,000 signatures would come easy. Shockingly, we come to the last day and she still needs 19,000 signatures to get this even considered by the government.
Here is the wording from the epetition:
“Give Kevin Williams his inquest under section 13 of the coroners Act, we have all the evidence under this section but keep getting refused.
Responsible department: Attorney General’s Office
Kevin Williams died in the Hillsborough disaster in1989, Kevin’s Inquests were riddled with coruption, suppressing of vital evidence and perverting the course of JUSTICE, Kevin did not die from Traumatic Asphixia or in an accident I will not pick up his death certificate until we get the course of death put right and the accidental death verdict struck down. Kevin does not relate to the 3.15pm cut off point.I want a new inquest were all the witnesses will be called to give evidence so the jury will know exactly what happened to Kevin at Hillsborough. I have all the evidence under section 13 of the coroners act and have been refused 3 times by the attorney generals office, I want the Attorney General to look at the evidence again and send Kevin’s case back to the divisional court recomending a new inquest into the death of my son.”

I’ve posted this on Facebook, Twitter and I figured I might as well blog about it, so those 2 additional people that I seem to get every day may also sign. Please please pass on the message, 19,000 is certainly doable but there’s only about 19 hours left for this to happen.
There’s been enough evidence to show that Liverpool fans were certainly not responsible; there’s been even more evidence of cover ups by the police; and there’s certainly plenty of evidence that shows that people died after that 3:15pm cut off, yet the inquest only took into account evidence up to 3:15. That is a travesty, and the least the family of those that died deserve is that the full story is considered in a worthwhile inquest. Would you like to go to court, and for your evidence to be entirely ignored purely because some “expert” has deemed that your evidence came after a time that couldn’t possibly have been true? No didn’t think so.
Sign it, and let’s at least have it debated in government.
